After 10 years in the online space of blogging & 3 years coaching women online I have definitely learned some essential life lessons I learned as a coach and blogger.

I’ve learned some amazing marketing skills, web design & snagged some amazing collabs and partnerships. But these essential life lessons are also worth sharing.

Here are the top 4 & how they can help you on your own journey if you desire to become a coach or a blogger.

MORE CONFIDENCE

Putting yourself out there on the www where billions of people have access to ‘you’ can seem a bit intimidating at first. And it is, to be honest.

I have been through the phase where I started to write a post, pictures, rich content the works ‘in my opinion’ and ended up not posting it. Why?

Because I didn’t feel confident enough about it, & I feared poor reception and judgment.

However, as time progressed, regular posting, and engaging with other bloggers I have become more open, relaxed, and become so much more confident in myself! If I write a post.

I know that “someone” will read it and be inspired and to me, that’s my motivation. It might be you. So let’s dive into the 4 most essential lessons I learned on my journey here.

LESSON 1 – ORGANIZATION

Before engaging in serious blogging, my time was split between Work-Exercise-Sleep-Tv-Whatever << throw in there an average of 4 hours of study time per week, and please note that this was random.

Some days I felt like studying, some days I felt like working out…. you know what basically I was all over the place or rather wasted quite a lot of free time.

Over the years, I learned the art organization and getting disciplined if I wanted growth. I learned what worked and what didn’t. And I have created a calendar schedule “never really one to follow those” between the hours of 5:30 p.m & 11 p.m, which is usually my idle time.

Now I have NO idle time. I even indirectly gave up TV 90% because I am constantly doing something constructive with my time. By the way, this leads to better time management skills.

INCREASED FOCUS

If you lack focus or struggle with it, a great tip to help drive that is by maintaining a blog.

If you are really passionate about it, you will ensure that you put in the effort into it which essentially, slowly but surely translates into your personal life.

Maintaining my business requires so much energy, and at first, it felt a bit annoying I admit. I wanted to give up many times. I questioned WHY I was even putting myself through the drama?

BUT over the years, developing a strategy, focusing on topics relating to my niche, developing ideas, and learning different aspects to implement has truly been a rewarding experience.

Being consistent with blogging, digital marketing, and networking with other coaches and entrepreneurs taught me that the more you keep at it, the faster it becomes ingrained and natural.

OPEN-MINDEDNESS & RAISING MY STANDARDS

You become more aware of opportunities & you constantly remind yourself that your dreams are worth it, and keep going. Giving up at 10% is no longer in the conversations in your head.

You embrace change and kick the fear of it in the, and the most fun part, your critical thinking develops.

You begin to create these opportunities for yourself as opposed to waiting for an offer, the more rich content you create the easier it gets.

I learned how to position myself as an expert, raise my quality, value, and price. But that took time. If you’re thinking of becoming an influencer, “Check out this review on Patricia Bright’s Break Course in this post”

In Closing.

Of course, I could write an entire book on this subject but we might be here forever. Have you started a blogging or coaching journey? What have you learned? What challenges have you faced? Share with us in the comments below.

Until next time. xx Menellia
