Here's What Happy Women Do To Remain Grounded
Being happy is a matter of choice. Either you make the decision to be happy or you allow all the happiness sucking events in your life to take charge. I have been working so diligently on so many things making time for myself started to phase out of the picture. I spend approximately 76 hours (counted) in front of a laptop during the course of the week, and 3 hours working out during the week.Off balance much? Yesterday, someone posted a question in one of the facebook entrepreneur groups I am part of "When was the last time you took yourself out on a date?"
And I realised that it has been quite some time since I did that. So I made the decision to take my bum to the beach this morning, & thankfully it was a beautiful day out. Just a small act of well-being. Doing small ACTS for ourselves are generally taken for granted, until the opportunity to do so slips away. It's like that saying"You never miss the water till the well runs dry".
A FEW THINGS YOU CAN DO TODAY TO BOOST YOUR WELL BEING & HAPPINESS
Live in the present. If you're a couch bum, workaholic, introvert, etc.. take a step outside. Or look out the window for 10 minutes. Take in the fresh air, notice the sounds, notice the trees, listen to the wind (doing this right now). Have a glass of wine, or lemon water & savor it.Put on some good tunes and savor the moment. Pamper yourself. & I am not talking about going to the spa. Are you a coffee or tea drinker?Everything you need is in your pantry. Light a scented candle, put on some music and pamper your skin. One of my happiest moments are after a body scrub. Your skin is soft, smooth and supple & it doesn't take much to maintain the feeling of well-being for a good hour after.. Sit in silence for a minute or 10. We are so caught up in the technology it's like go go go go... tune out for 10 minutes and just be in the moment by reflecting, reading a book or integrating this discovery guide to a joyous life.
